Injection Molding Materials
Start material selection with the requirements of the finished molded part.

CNC Machining Materials
Specify the material for a machined part before comparing quotations.

3D Printing Materials
Match the material brief to the purpose of the printed part.

Sheet Metal Materials
Define the sheet specification as part of your component brief.

Plastics
Discuss plastic material requirements for molded, machined or printed components.

Metals
Discuss metal choices for watch bands and custom components.

Elastomers
Define flexible material requirements for straps and custom parts.

Colors & Finishes
Communicate color and finish through agreed references and samples.

Customer-Supplied Resin
Ask whether a partner can process your supplied resin before shipping material.
Turn a material preference into a specification
Start with the intended use, environment and appearance. Record mandatory properties separately from preferences. Material examples on this site are selection guidance, not a live inventory or a claim that every grade is available for every process.
Material review checklist
| Decision | What to specify | What to review |
|---|---|---|
| Metals | Exact grade, condition and surface finish | Do not identify a grade from an image or color |
| Plastics | Named resin or polymer grade and intended environment | Review stiffness, temperature and appearance together |
| Elastomers | Compound family and hardness scale | Evaluate the actual formulation for the application |
| Color & texture | Physical sample or agreed color reference | Record lighting, visible surfaces and acceptable variation |
For materials
- Specify a grade or describe the requirement
- Identify appearance and functional priorities
- Confirm availability and documentation in the quotation
- Identify the exact grade or provide the performance requirements for review.
- Request supporting material documentation if it forms part of your acceptance criteria.
