Functional interface
Identify each intended watch reference, connector, wrist range and closure requirement. Supply mating information or a physical reference where possible.
WATCH BANDS / DEVELOPMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Bring a controlled design or start with a product direction. KeepWin helps clarify the design, sourcing and partner-supported manufacturing responsibilities so sampling and production move against an agreed scope.
Design work, tooling, manufacturing sites, partner operations and ownership terms are confirmed in the proposal. OEM or ODM terminology does not imply a fixed commercial package or all operations in-house.

Supplied sample-collection photograph. It does not establish that every displayed design is available for unrestricted copying or customization.
01 / PROJECT ROUTE
The labels are used differently across projects. Define the actual work and deliverables instead of assuming that a familiar term assigns every design and production responsibility.
| Starting point | Inputs from the buyer | Scope to agree |
|---|---|---|
| Buyer-controlled design | Controlled drawings, interface, material and acceptance requirements. | Manufacturability review, permitted changes, manufacturing and verification responsibilities. |
| Adapt an existing model | Selected reference and requested functional or appearance changes. | Allowed design use, revised components, tooling and new sample scope. |
| Develop from a brief | Use case, target style, interface and constraints. | Design deliverables, decision owner, review milestones, revisions and ownership terms. |
02 / DESIGN INPUTS
A useful brief explains what the product must do, what can be explored and what evidence will show that the result is acceptable.
Identify each intended watch reference, connector, wrist range and closure requirement. Supply mating information or a physical reference where possible.
Show design intent, materials, link or strap architecture, finish and branding. State which reference features are inspiration and which are mandatory.
List models, sizes, connectors, colors and quantity per variant. Include packaging, accessories and destination information.
Name critical fit, appearance and performance checks and required records. Explain unresolved design issues without filling them with unverified numerical promises.
03 / RESPONSIBILITY MAP
Partner-supported manufacturing can involve several operations. The proposal should identify the responsible route and the evidence exchanged at important milestones.

Supplied assembly reference. It illustrates an activity; the responsible site and operation scope must be confirmed for this project.
| Workstream | What to define | Approval record |
|---|---|---|
| Design | Controlled input, deliverable format and permitted change process. | Latest approved drawing or reference revision. |
| Tooling / setup | Scope, charges, responsible operation and ownership or access terms. | Agreed tooling or setup description and milestones. |
| Material and components | Grade or formulation requirements, allowed alternatives and hardware scope. | Component description and supporting records where agreed. |
| Sampling | Purpose, quantity, checks and revision scope. | Sample evaluation with accepted features and open actions. |
| Production and delivery | Responsible operations, acceptance, packaging and transport. | Confirmed proposal, identification and delivery records. |
04 / SAMPLE DECISIONS
A sample may demonstrate fit, appearance, construction or a defined performance requirement. Those purposes are not automatically interchangeable.
Identify the material, color, texture and branding represented. A visual concept is not approval of the connector, tooling route or production material.
Review the assembled product with the intended watch and hardware. Define fit, movement, adjustment and closure checks.
Agree which material, process and revision the sample represents. Record any difference between a development sample and the proposed production configuration.
05 / PRODUCTION HANDOFF
The handoff should preserve design intent while making operations, acceptance and commercial assumptions explicit.
Fixed requirements, open decisions, intended variants and permissions.
Route, responsibilities, materials, tooling and proposed changes.
Named sample purpose, evidence and revision decisions.
Approved specification, pricing scope, acceptance and schedule assumptions.
Identification, packaging, records and discrepancy handling.
Separate unit cost, tooling or setup, samples, finishing, inspection, packaging and transport where applicable. Define which milestone starts the agreed schedule.
Agree who approves substitutions, revised drawings, changed quantities and new colorways. Identify which changes require another sample or quotation.
06 / PERMISSIONS & RECORDS
A supplied reference does not automatically establish the right to reproduce a product, logo or protected design. Keep confidentiality and commercial use rights separate from manufacturability.
Confirm permission to share designs and artwork. Agree any required NDA before uploading confidential files rather than treating a web form as an automatic confidentiality agreement.
Define the drawings, files and approvals to be delivered, ownership terms and permitted uses of adapted or developed designs.
Agree ownership, maintenance, access and any transfer conditions for project tooling where relevant. Do not assume these follow from an OEM or ODM label.
Provide authorized artwork and specify the permitted mark and location. Device compatibility does not establish device-brand licensing or authorization.
07 / QUESTIONS
The best starting point is a clear boundary between your controlled inputs and the work to be defined.
No. This page describes partner-supported manufacturing. Responsible sites and operation scope must be identified in the project proposal.
A product direction can start a review. Identify the missing decisions and agree development deliverables and responsibilities before treating the design as production-ready.
Ownership and access terms must be agreed explicitly. They are not established by an OEM or ODM label or by submitting a reference image.
Only within agreed permissions and design-use scope. Provide rights and permitted changes rather than assuming every reference can be reproduced.
They depend on configuration, tooling, materials, variants, sample scope and responsible operations. Provide quantities and target milestones; the proposal confirms the actual terms.
PREPARE THE NEXT DECISION
Share a non-confidential product direction, watch interface and intended variants. Identify your controlled design inputs and the decisions where you need review.
